Operators - General Constuction

We have a  project currently underway in the SE Suburbs and require addition skilled/semi skilled operators/general construction to join our crew. Duties include  bulk earthworks, drainage, final trim and shaping, irrigation, turfing and general duties.

Skills required

  • experienced and competent in operating varied equipment (excavator, bobcat, grader, tractor scoop etc.)
  • general civil construction
  • willingness to perform multiple tasks

You will have all necessary tickets and relevant experience. Great pay rates commensurate with your experience for the role defined.

Mechanic / General Hand - Workshop

 

We require an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet of earth moving equipment at our workshop located in Melton, 45 minutes west of Melbourne.

Our fleet of equipment is broad and varied including, artic dump trucks , excavators, dozers, tractors, bob cats, etc of varying makes and models. Also included is a small fleet of motor vehicles.

Given the diversity of equipment it is preferred but not mandatory you have a strong general mechanical background in civil earthmoving equipment and excellent diagnostic skills. In addition to general repairs and preventive maintenance, there is additional requirement for fitter duties including welding.

You should have:

  • trade certificate and qualified as Diesel Fitter or Diesel Mechanic
  • experience with heavy earth moving machines
  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • commitment to work place health & safety
  • strong work ethic
  • excellent communication skills with a professional attitude
  • attention to detail
  • good time management

Irrigation Installers

McMahons is a leader in the construction of golf courses and sports fields throughout Australia.

To meet the demand within our projects we require people with varying experience to join our irrigation division as irrigation installers.

The type of works undertaken include the installation and commissioning of irrigation systems within golf course and sports fields. With projects throughout Victoria and Interstate there will be the opportunity for travel.

This is a great opportunity with long term employment options.

The role of irrigation installer includes:
• Installation of PVC and Poly pipe
• Installation of multi core and decoder systems
• Water tank installation
• Installation of pump sets, filter assemblies and foot valves
• Programming controller and computers

As a Senior Installer you will also have the following skills
• Liaise with designers, clients and project managers
• OHS disciplines including appropriate tickets
• Competency tickets for excavator, skid steer and loader
• Setting out and use of GPS

You will have all necessary tickets and relevant experience.

You may be currently installing irrigation in either residential or commercial projects and see this as a great career opportunity.

Pay rates commensurate with your experience for the role defined.
